Beautiful blue

I'm off out with friends from school tonight so I wandered around the garden looking for a blip, hoping it could be a macro shot.

And here was a blue bottle, sitting in the boring bark, and looking brilliantly blue and beautiful, even though by habit, it's not at all.

I am particularly struck by it's stripy-looking rear!
