Anyone for a Party?

It is a tradition at our Council that the invitation to the Queen's Garden Party is shared with long serving staff and members.  The Chairman and their consort (we're old fashioned here) always attends but they alternate each year between the longest serving Councillor and the longest serving member of staff.

This year Debbie, in pink, was the lucky recipient.  It is hard to believe she has been with the Council for 36 years.  It is particularly poignant as her husband died almost two years ago.  He also worked for the Council and it would have been a lovely story had they both been able to go as he had served at the Council for almost as many years.
