Dryopteris Wallichianum
Dryopteris Wallichianum making a reappearance after the winter ravages. It has been described as 'evergreen' so I was a bit concerned after cutting it back as there was no green to be seen. Anyway, here it is in the Dell with some slightly munched hostas and the white dicentra.
Bitterly cold wind again and rain threatening so I didn't plant out any of my seedlings. I worked on one of the front borders: moved two artemisia lactiflora to the back, divided a clump of Lychnis Coronaria (which I hope is magenta), repositioned a verbena bonariensis and planted a hosta Frances Williams. It's more or less ready for the annuals to go in tomorrow if the weather has picked up. The border and topiary edges have all been neatened. Nearly looks proper.
