I live in an area heavily populated by immigrants , largely hispanic and mostly Catholic. Lawn shrines can be seen here and there.
What I find interesting about this is the stacked cement slabs Our Lady is standing on, definitely homespun. Each shrine has it's own character. This one was probably done years ago by someone who settled here from Italy as it is located in what was once a predominantly Italian neighborhood.
As for the colorful shrine I posted two days ago, I'd bet the people who live in that house are from Portugal, clue: Mary appeared to thee children in Fatima.
And oh, yeah, this pic, looking at the size of her toes she could probably play the piano with her feet ;-)
