Lake Chapala

After a great morning playing volleyball with Bob and his regular group at a local park, we headed into Chapala for a bit of lunch followed by a walk along the lakeside. These colorful boats were all waiting for action, but of course this is the low season (and a Monday at that) so they weren't going anywhere for awhile. According to Bob and Patty, who have lived here for seven years, the town fills up every weekend with Nationals from Guadalahara, less than an hour's drive away. Today, however, there were only locals, and a couple of visitors from Zihuatanejo, walking the pier looking at the pretty boats.
