"Mummy has gone out"

Morning with Squidge and what a delight it was. Just the two of us exploring our new surroundings. We became members of the library and lost track of time on the sofas in the kids section reading books together. I did all the silly voices and didn't even care who heard me. Still very happy with our relocation. Library was lovely and everyone is so friendly here and welcoming. It's very family-orientated.

Squidge couldn't hide her glee at being on her own with me for a few hours. I got so much affection and happiness just radiated from her. Now Angus is home a bit more I think she misses time for the two of us - the way it was when he was away working. I need to make sure we still do things together as a pair sometimes. She's a real Mummy's girl and always has been but I suspect it will change in the future. I need to make the most of it while it lasts!

This afternoon I worked from home. A proposal, lots of emails and an awards submission for a client. Angus and Squidge watched Cinderalla and played in the garden, popped to the shops and park and made tea. We had to pretend "Mummy has gone out" otherwise she would have been banging down the office door. Nearly blew it taking this picture of them both as she looked up and almost saw me!
