Sweet Life

Kathy and I discovered the Sweet Life Patisserie quite by accident Sunday while looking for a particular musical instrument shop.

Our desire for a good cup of coffee brought us in the door where we then discovered a French pastry paradise and specialty chocolates emporium extraordinaire in addition to the good coffee. I'm proud to say we managed to limit ourselves to one small chili chocolate truffle each.

We decided to return today to be certain our Sunday escapade was not a figment of our imagination.

Being that it is near to the Fern Ridge Bike Path, and also that we are trying to follow our plan only to ride our bicycles to places such as this, we decided to should ride to the Sweet Life Patisserie for lunch.

We dodged rain showers and survived an encounter with a hungry nutria along the way to the achieve our goal of lunch at Sweet Life Patisserie. We dined sumptuously on coffee and croissant sandwiches followed by a shared almond crescent cookie.

I am so pleased to report that, no doubt about it, the Sweet Life is here in Eugene, Oregon.
