BOWLED OVER

Thanks for your responses yesterday – no kidding Blippers !

It was a music roll from a fairground organ . . . clever old technology indeed and still sounding grand today.

Today an indoor shot – this bowl also tells the story of The Sailor’s Tear and Farewell :

He leap’d into the boat

As it lay upon the strand

But oh his heart was far away

With friends upon the land

He thought of those he loved the best

A wife and infant dear

And feeling filled the sail breast

The Sailor’s Eye – a tear
