What struck my fancy

By TonyLuxton

Former train station

at Wolferton, it served the royal country retreat for kings and queens, horse-drawn carriages, and more recently Rolls Royce cars would take the visiting crowned heads of Europe up the hill to Sandringham House for high living and shooting (pheasants and deer mainly).

Now it's a home but the owner has preserved some ambience and welcomes visitors and photography, no charge but contributions are invited to support local charities for disabled people.
