The day they closed the road

Setting up for the street party - a huge marquee set up at the bottom of the road - you can see how close to the sea I live in this shot.
The weather held - it was grey and windy but no heavy rain till later.
I went for a few hours before going elsewhere - sadly it was mainly those from the bottom of the road with lots of people from elsewhere. not many from my end and even though everyone was friendly, people only really spoke to those they knew - I have long chats with my next door neighbour which was nice as she is really very quiet but we could had done that over the garden fence.
Lots of food - Justin thought it was worth going for that alone.
