I Don't Know Why...

that people don't like spiders. They go about their little spider lives giving humans not so much as a second, or even a third, thought. They dine on insects mostly, not hunting our kind and not even feasting on us after our demise. They come in an incredible variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Their webs, if they are web building arachnids, are marvels to behold. They are quiet, at least to our ears. And they are relatively uncomplicated photographic subjects...read...easy!  So there!...what's not to like...really? 

This amazing, but often misunderstood, creature is a Venusta Orchard Spider (Leucauge venusta).
