Sorrow & Joy

Dropped from the tree too early - actually the rope of the birdhome in our garden bird cherry tree was broken. So the whole birdhome fell down and this poor guy fell out. And died of course.
I lifted the birdhome back to the tree and used metal wire to be sure the house will not drop down again.
I am not sure if there is any living babies in the nest left. Blue tit parent birds keep flying to the nest and out though. Hoping for the best.

Preparations for the family party - our daughter's graduating from the upper secondary grade/ high school - have taken all day. We had to re-place both birds and gerbils to arrange more room and seats to the guests. And today I made all the salads and arranged all the dishes ready! My stepmother baked and broughte us lovely gluten free cakes, which was a great help..
And my ever so smiling friend T came to visit in the evening: she will be the help and server tomorrow...
