Japanese emperor caterpillar

This luminous, lime green lovely will transform into the national butterfly of Japan. With its deer like horns and smiley face it's possibly the cutest insect in the world.

Not particularly photogenic today as it wouldn't turn around to smile at the camera but it's colour stands out nicely against the fence post.
