Orchestra Concert #2

Evening performance was augmented by the appearance of several graduates - who came to watch, some even to perform,  including some 1985 graduates ... 


Was much moved earlier when visiting the hospital this morning to have my leg dressing changed, to learn from my surgeon that he was involved in an ongoing 8 hour surgery today on a five year old girl from Libya who was severely hurt in a bomb blast.  Apparently this hospital has an agreement with the Libyan embassy in Istanbul that in certain cases civilian patients are flown to this hospital for specialist treatment.  Tragic and wonderful all in the same story.
