These are not they

Yesterday we travelled back to Auckland and S went to North Shore Hospital to visit her mother, admitted over the weekend. Had been told she was staying another night. Discovered that she was being discharged yesterday afternoon. Rapid juggling of responsibilities enabled Mr H to be collected from school by me, and then he and I went and collected S and her mother from the hospital. Back to the apartment for handover of child to his mother, than a light meal for M-i-L before the trip north. Stayed overnight, and this morning was another run at Snells Beach.

Overcast conditions, but no wind. On the way back I went past the Baptist Christian School and associated other educational facilities, one of which is a preschool Childcare Centre. The sign advertising it is in a paddock just past the road from the main Mahurangi East Road to the school etc.

These almost yearlings seem quite unfazed that they are not quite old enough to attend the childcare centre.
