2015 Friday // Our 50th Wedding Anniversary

Definitely this has been a "pinch me" kind of day. Fifty years ago today we were married. Back then there were lots of tears and bitter disappointment from all of our parents. I was 15 and Mr. Fun was 19 and we had a baby on the way. Everyone predicted we'd never last -- not even a year.

So today felt like a miracle.

The years have been filled with laughter and tears. Some of it tragic and some of it  magic, but I'd definitely marry him again.

This evening we had a lovely meal at Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange County. The restaurant sits high on a hill and when the weather is permitting the view is spectacular. Ten years ago we had a marvelous celebration there with a hundred of our friends after having a vow renewal/wedding at our church. That's a marvelous memory, but tonight was also special and lacked the serious effort, not to mention the financial output, that ten years ago produced.

So Happy Anniversary to us!
And tomorrow we'll start year 51.
