Ride the Night
This is my quick blip for the day.
I hope these Prayer flags are doing their job of allowing the wind to blow prayers and good fortune into all pervading space. Tonight thousands of women (myself included) will ride from Windsor and through the streets of London to raise money for breast, ovarian and cervical cancer charities.
The white flag is in the middle of my image because white symbolises the air and wind which I hope will be helping me on my way tonight. The centre of a prayer flag traditionally features a Lung ta (powerful horse) bearing flaming jewels on its back. The Ta is a symbol of speed and the transformation of bad fortune to good fortune. The speed is for me and the good fortune is my wish for all people affected by cancer.
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and offered me their best wishes. I’ll be thinking of you all tonight.
