Davaz vinyard

We have a few wine producers in Switzerland and Italy we've been buying every year wine from since decades. Davaz in Fläsch is one of them. So we drove up to the Bündner Herrschaft (close to Chur) today and fetched what we ordered last year from Davaz, a true family business.

Of course not without tasting the new wines (P in the background). Wonderful Swiss white, rosé and heavy red wines were "entrusted" to us by the owner, the charming Ms Davaz. Another part of the familiy is owning a vinyard in Tuscany (Poggio al Sole) so of course we also added some Italien wines and as always also the "Insieme", a blend made with grapes from Switzerland and Italy.

Luckily there was still space in the Volvo for Olive oil, Grappa and Marc.

The Davaz family is a true example that great wines result from personality, passion, skills and technique.

Back home we opened now a Casasilia 2010 and BBQ with a Côte de Boeuf which has been matured for 5 weeks plus carrots, onions and zucchetti. English Stilton, French goats cheese, Italian Taleggio and Swiss Rye bred to finnish the bottle. #saturdaydinnertreat

Ps: yes, 10km running in the morning before we went for our "wine tour". Nice, fairly sunny spring day and evening.t
