Langdale Wood

Woke up early and the sun was streaming in......but typically, by the time we were up and ready the cloud was already building up!

Youngest has ordered his new glasses ..........costing him an absolute fortune, but needs must!!! His wife met him there to help him choose the frames! Trendy large frames seem to be the style of the moment ;-)

We had a bacon sandwich for lunch before I took them to the train station to go off into Manchester.

I then took myself off for an hour in search of a blip, but by this time it was complete cloud cover :-/ I decided to take a walk into a wooded area that I haven't explored before.

Got a few shots......as I walked I could hear an unusual shriek up in the trees, caught a glimpse of what looked like a peregrine, kestrel or maybe sparrow hawk.....I think there was a mate too, but I didnt get a clear view to take any shots!

I then drove towards home and took a quick pit stop at the Three Sisters, quite a few coots, moorhens, swans, ducks, but nothing overly exciting happening.

Just watching the Fa Cup Final, urging on Arsenal, as them winning means hubs team will quality for a European spot ;-)

I like the depth in this shot, with the rotten wood, and it's lychen in the foreground.

Thanks to everyone for all your lovely comments, stars and hearts recently for the granddaughter fest :-)
