Among the fields of ... blue
They're a tad late this year, but the bluebells are suddenly everywhere, poking up, as here, among the strange triffid-like sprouting of young bracken and the brown debris of last year's. They have a scent, too - an elusive, sweet smell on the air - and they defy representation of their extraordinary vividness.
The forecast has rain for the next few days, so today's blip may be my only chance to show the bluebells before they're over for another year ...
