Cricket Season
I've done some proper photography today for the first time in ages. The tiny saltatorian (cricket and grasshopper) nymphs have been around for a while and I've been dying to capture them. This is a Roesel's bush cricket, the yellow edge to its pronotum can already be seen. It will have to moult five or six times before it becomes an adult. These insects like long, but not too long, undisturbed grass. That's why they like living with us. :)
