On the run!

Youngest Son & his fiancee came over today for a few hours ..... it was lovely to see them ....... we had 'Christmas' again as we didn't get to see them at the time!

Later ...... once they had headed off home ....... we went for a walk around the park which is an SSSI ...... we saw lots of birds, rabbits & of course the deer. One of the highlights was finding a Great Spotted Woodpecker's nest ...... we could hear the young shouting for food inside!

We also saw this Grey Wagtail with young ....... the poor adult was being run ragged trying to keep up with the fledglings voracious appetite! Apologies for the quality of the photos but they were in the creek that runs under the trees & a long way off! Do hope you like them :-)
