Uke Group

The Peebles Ukulele group, Strumash, were asked to help provide some of the entertainment for Saint Andrews Church Flower Festival in Innerleithen today. They got the small, but enthusiastic audience clapping along with them to songs like "Do you know the way to Amarillo? " Here are TheChimp and Puke getting stuck in to the music.

The flowers displayed in the church were provided by local groups such as the Brownies and school as well as businesses. It was a beautiful and interesting display - worth popping into see if you are around.

In the afternoon we walked along the river in the sunshine(!) and when we got back I decided to use up the small glut of eggs created by our hens over the last week or so and made bacon and egg pie and egg custard tart for tea.
