Royal Spoonbill...

This is one of our more unusual natives. Met him/her this morning in the city. It was alone and feeding vigorously in the outgoing tidal mudflats. They are so unusual-quite chuffed to find him/her... An extra image showing its enormous beak which it uses along the bottom to find small fish etc.   Very busy
