Church Island, Menai Bridge, Anglesey

Early start to Menai Bridge this morning, so decided to park the car and walk down towards Church Island. It was such a lovely sunny morning, the oystercatchers were calling to each other and there were one or two early walkers around.

My grandparents are buried on Church Island and it's somewhere I usually visit just before Christmas to place the traditional wreath. I really should visit more often, it's such a peacefula and beautiful place.

In the distance you can see the Britannia Bridge, one of 2 bridges which connect the Isle of Anglesey to mainland Wales.
