Son of a Gun
What yesterday’s ‘Head Ache’ was all about – actually the place mats feature at the ‘extra photo’ and Flickr.
With the ISO set at 2500 to save using flash all the shots were a bit grainy to say the least. Not my happiest group of photos, but "that’s what it’s all about".
For the record the hall was full to maximum for comfortable dancing, so we have marked the evening a great success. The 'Fish and Chip Van' was a little late, but some eighty five fish suppers were cooked fresh and excellent value for money.
Sun of a Gun won ‘New Faces’ in 1975, and Peter (keyboards) moved back to Bourne a few years ago and reformed the group as a duo with a former band member. He now has another partner and is booked up for week ends for the best part of a year, so if you want them book now. Just for the record, Peter is a regular member of the ‘Friday Night Discussion Group’ – when he’s not playing that is . . .
The collection on Flickr include a dual between a Canon 70D (Chaz) and my Canon 7D, some ‘dancing’ . . . , and the aftermath.
Interesting technical point - the shots of the band were taken with the Sigma 10-20, yet the exif shows the focal length at 50mm - some technical blip I suppose . . .
