The Most Exquisite Evening
The day was very lovely but there was so much to do......(and I am slowly catching up with my journal).
When we finally got to go out late in the afternoon we decided to take a trip up to Hastings Point.
The evening was warm and the kids watched the whales breaching out the back whilst I ran over the hill taking pics and drinking in the sheer lovliness of it all snapping happily away.
As the sun set and the sky became pink and lavender there was an almost intimate feeling on the hill..it really was something very lovely.....fragrant.
This night I really understood the magic of White Balance...I really want to be more aware of it in the future...another thing to learn...but I think important.
When I got home and downloaded all my lovely pics I realized there was some goopy stuff on my lens for the earlier shots...(thank goodness I am getting into the habit of cleaning my lens often especially near the ocean) so only the later shots were OK.
Not complaining...some things are just fabulous whatever.....and I did get a couple the kids on the hill under that lovely sky ....and then I got one a bit later when it was dark....look at how everything changed ....from softness to intensity.
