New People
I got up at 7:30am this morning. Ouch.
I did my usual chores, to get them over with, and had a nice potter at home. Unfortunately the weather was rubbish, and it bucketed with rain for most of the day!
I went to mum's to hang out, and Little B and I stood at the window to have a good look at the rain.
I dragged myself to Waitrose and did my grocery shop, and then I went home to get ready to go out.
T's friends came over last night from NL for the weekend, and the plan was to meet for burgers at 6pm. I do love burgers, but I try to not eat them very often! The trains were a bit rubbish so I missed the fast one, and ended up on the slow one that takes 50 mins to do a 25 minute journey.
Never mind. They'd finished eating when I met them, and we went to the Dutch pub in Soho for drinks. T brought along a friend from work who I'd heard a lot about, and it was great to finally meet her. She's one of those people you instantly like, as she was extremely sociable and radiated a warmth and energy. I can see why T likes her so much. And it made me a little envious as I wished I was more like her!
We had our drinks then decided to head back to Clapham. On the way we had a quick peek in M & M world where we took this picture. I wasn't surprised to see the prices in there- do tourists really pay that? We got an Uber which meant a very smooth ride in a Prius. We went to a pub in Clapham, where T and S have been a lot, where we played foosball.
S and I had a win against the boys, but in the end they whooped us! T's friends were knackered, having been walking around London all day, so we left at 10:30pm. I was lucky enough to find the train packed with half-term travellers, so I had to sit on the floor for the 30 minute ride.
Home just after 11pm, and then off to bed. It was a fun night.
