Stone Sulpture

(Back Blip)
After heavy overnight rain, the weather on Monday morning was a bit better, and the forecast was for the weather to clear later in the day.

One consequence of the rain, and the fact that the campsite was at the side of Derwentwater was that my pitch had become flooded, so as nearly all of the residents of the tent field had left by lunchtime I was able to relocate to a higher and drier pitch for the rest of the week.

After lunch we decided to have a walk around the lake to Calfclose Bay to see the carved split stone and then we headed back through the woods to Keswick.

I decided to try a long exposure to smooth the water out and create a bit of drama in the sky.
