Rhododendron Knoll and Herb Garden...

I and a few other members of a Campus Club Garden Group visited the Cornell Botanical Gardens, specifically Comstock Knoll, home of the Clement Gray Bowers Rhododendron Collection, and the Robison Herb Garden.  It was too hot for me, steep steps down from the knoll my knees didn't appreciate, and the light was so bright I got too much white area on most of my pics.  I found a few that I thought I'd like to make this collage of our visit.  I particularly loved the depth of color and velvet/silky texture of the deep (nearly black/purple/blue) Iris.  I'll have to go back soon when it is much cooler - earlier in the day or in the evening.
