Peebles...
This is what goes on in small border towns... apparently.
No idea what they were doing hanging around outside the public lavs, we didn't ask... probably best. Thankfully I managed to take the shot before the damp patch on the undercrackers was visible... talk about drip dry!
Lunch in the pub, a mooch round the shops and a wander down by the river was the order of the day. Lovely it was too.
Well that's after it took me 55 minutes to get from mine to Ruby's (approximately a mile and a half) I have no objection to the marathon but when you live on the doorstep of Meadowbank Stadium and there appears to be only one route out of the area, it would be nice to know in advance so you can make a plan. If a road is closed, put the sign at the top of the street, rather than at the bottom. Engage brain, use some common sense and have a little thought for the non-runners.
And while I'm ranting... Barney went through the car wash yesterday afternoon. When I went to bed last night he was beautifully shiny. When I got up this morning, there wasn't one window, or one panel that wasn't covered in birdshit. I'm buying a gun!
