Flybe nightmare

Left work early and headed to the airport for our trip to Devon to see holiday Mum and Dad. Had to check a bag in using the self-service check-in thingy. Asked the guy which ticket I needed to use to do it correctly. Put the bag on the scales and then my foot under it to make sure we met the weight limit. He came over and helped me put the label on and as I walked off said “I liked the use of the foot under the bag. We do it all the time as well”. Busted.
Had a few drams at the whisky tasting stalls before getting gin and bubbles for the weekend and meeting J. Flight to Manchester was OK but we were then delayed 3 hours for the trip to Exeter. Flybe had a plane failure and then delays on the flight from Exeter. Normal chaos followed, especially as there was only one person on the desk to start with. Reinforcements were sent in for when they had to issue the food vouchers and when we still weren’t told if the flight was going to go.

Left Manchester at 11.40 in the end. Holiday Dad was there to meet us and we finally got to Devon at 1.30. Long day. Still nice to be there
