Chocolate Hills, Bohol, Visayan Region, The Phil

This was the second time we visited the Chocolate Hills in Bohol.  There are hundreds of them and studies have shown that they are for the most part made of coral, proving the theory that the entire area was once under water.  Because of the porous nature of the soil, the hills, while lush and green during the monsoon, turn brown in the severe summer heat, hence their name.
