Ullswater

We went to the Lake District for the weekend orienteering near Ullswater. We stayed at Side Farm camp site, notable for not having a lot of level ground! There were hefty hail showers when we first arrived but the evening was quite still later on. We went for a walk on the shore hoping to get some sunny breaks for a good sunset, but sadly not. The light was good and the view towards St Sunday Crag with the tree on the island looked good. It may not be as photogenic as that tree, but we had the place to ourselves.
