We went to Rome. Up at 3.30am to get to the airport for a shockingly early fight flight but a mercifully short taxi ride to the chain hotel in the sticks, which turned out to be close to a train station and only 12 minutes from the centre of Rome and it had a pool, both of which would be important for maintaining sanity.
