Brought Me Back

I was brought back ten years last night when I was brought as a guest at the Don McLean concert in Vicar Street venue in Dublin. I was delighted to be there and loved the whole two and a half hour show....

My good humour plummeted somewhat when he sang "And I Love You So" as it was a song my wife asked me to sing at her funeral and it was the song that refused to lodge in my head despite singing it day after day for weeks as I made more determined and more desperate efforts to do it justice from the alter.....

However, Don, consummate professional that he is, soon brought me back to a cheery self and I loved the rest of the gig....just saying 

And I Love You So
