Stormy weather

Driving home from Penicuik at about 9pm tonight, the sky to the East was very heavy. There had been a sudden downpour and the clouds were very dark. A gorgeous partial rainbow appeared in the sky which was not a bow at all but a slash of vivid colour. It stood out so well against the almost black clouds, quite stunning!
Of course, I couldn't find a safe place to stop until Hillend and by the time I did stop the moment had passed. I tried driving back but of course it had gone.
This picture is of the sky, still very striking but lighter and with no bow!
