The RV Keary

I have blipped many boats in the process of being dismantled here in Arklow as the fishing fleet shrinks to alarmingly small proportions but just to show that all is not doom and gloom here we have a fine vessel being refurbished. The rv Keary is owned by the Irish Geological Survey and here she is up on the dockside for minor repairs. There is still a lot of know how in Arklow when it comes to building and maintaining boats. Right now a new tender for the oil rigs is under construction about 200 metres away from this spot and I'm looking forward to blipping her when she comes out of the shed.
