Sailor's trousers

On my morning walk I was looking for a promise of a better day..ever heard the saying if there is enough blue sky to make a pair of sailors trousers it will be a nice day.
I thought there was just about enough blue but the heavens opened again this afternoon! maybe tomorrow:)
