Back to Basics

I spotted this growing out of the wall outside my house while I was on the phone this morning.

Despite the fact it was raining and blowing a gale this was in a sheltered corner and looked worthy of some effort to photograph it.

I tried two cameras with in camera jpg options on lighting but not satisfied I went back to basics and shot this Pentax RAW (PEF) with my 500m lens at F1.8

What did I do next - well nothing myself - I uploaded it Ipernity RAW - let 'them' convert it to jpg and download at 2048 pixels to upload to Blipfoto.

What a cop out I hear you saying but it looks fine to me.
Extra photo added: Fujifilm X-E1 version at F5.0.
