A day at sea

With a delicious barbecue on deck at lunchtime.

Sparkling blue skies over the Mediterranean, and the temperatures have risen. We're heading for Cadiz and our lectures have reflected that. Spain, some very helpful history so we can understand more about the politics and in particular the huge differences between the areas - Navarra, Castilla, Andalucia, Cataluna.

Then, Sir Francis Drake and his exploits in Cadiz, working on sound military intelligence to delay the Spanish Armada. Fascinating. (The only danger is that we're so relaxed we have to catch up with bits we've snoozed through)

The Roman diet, tied in with what we saw in the sites.

The Crew show tonight - entertainment highlight as the Filipino crew share their music and culture with us. No way would I miss that :-)
