Home Grown
No, not a home-grown lettuce - a home-grown flower on the gerbera that I blipped when it was starting to bud again recently after being bare since March. Not only has one of the buds fully developed into a lovely rust-coloured daisy, but there are two more buds at different stages yet to bloom. Mum's very proud of herself, because until now houseplants have tended to be doomed under her care - apart from African Violets, which she has a knack for. She's kept two other plant arrangements going successfully for quite a while now, too, plus several of the new plants in the garden.
I've been reading my book club novel (The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins) like the fury today, as our meeting is on Friday and I've only just started it! Thoroughly enjoying it so far, quite a page-turner.
