Rome

Rome wasn't quite what I expected but it was still beautiful. The colosseum was incredibly beautiful but one of by favourite pictures was the big penis graffiti. We found it humorous that someone wuld think to write such a thing on a historic monument but the funnier part occurred when I was showing my family my holiday snaps. My granddad said 'I think she liked that persons bum' to which my dad retorted 'no, look at the writing'. This was mortifying, that picture has stayed in my personal file ever since.

On this day we also went to the Vatican City. We had 45 minutes to walk there from the colosseum. I was determined to stay at the front of the clan but my feet started bleeding and for the rest of the holiday I wore socks on the inside of my shoes to cushion my blistered and bloody feet. Featured here is the 'Philfuntimes' group. This was the only significant monument to our studies so it had to be documented.
