Grub's up!

Found this old bell while clearing out a few cupboards.

I have hung it in the kitchen with the intention of it being 'The Dinner Bell'. The idea is that I ring the bell and the children immediately stop whatever it is they are doing, no matter how interesting or riveting, and come running to the dinner table.

I tried it tonight - ding, ding - no children. The bell is clearly faulty.
