Off to the races!

Kevin and I rode in the Mont Tremblant Gran Fondo. Kevin had a great ride, surpassing all of his expectations and enjoying cycling in a group.

My ride was a little less than perfect though after my bike became completely disabled when it performed some very impressive chain acrobatics (double wrap twist with a special backwards flip knot). With no sign of the mechanical van, I walked the last 10K or so. Although I finished dead last in my peloton, I crossed the finish line.

The rain held off until after the organized events of the day, so we borrowed an umbrella, found a nice little bistro for dinner, and then walked and window shopped in the village.
