The Lister Lion, Shibden Hall Halifax
This stone lion, carved from millstone grit, incorporates the coat of arms of the Lister family who lived at Shibden for 300 years.
The lion was created for Anne Lister in the 1830s as part of widespread improvements and alterations.
The sculpture was stolen in 1996 but was tracked down to Sotheby's in Sussex and brought back to Shibden and restored.
