Celebrating #WorldClubfootDay

At IMPACT Zanzibar's recent Clubfoot treatment camp, 15 babies underwent operations to release their achilles tendon as part of their  treatment programme (which also includes manipulation and casting as per the Ponseti method) to correct the position of their feet. 

Each child will be monitored closely until they are of school age.  The good news is that they have been identified with the condition as babies.  Neglected cases of clubfoot in older children are much more complicated to correct.
