I am not a vole

I said to the kestrel hovering above me today on the coastal path along from Widemouth Bay in Cornwall.  But what an amazing experience, it was looking right at me and had no problem with me being there at all!  It hovered for a few minutes longer before it decided I wasn't a vole and probably not very tasty either.... As ever I so wish that I had had that lovely long sharp lens, but it's not to be just yet, still saving my pennies for that one!

I have never got so close to a bird of prey before and sometimes I like to think my mum sends them my way, so it's for her again, like every picture is this June posted to blip :) xx
