'Anne McCue'

At the Basement Discs today for a free lunchtime instore performance. Nice to meet her and she kindly posed for this shot for me.

She has just released her sixth solo album called Blue Sky Thinking'. A fabulous collection of her own songs written in a style reminiscent of the pre war jazzy days. If you're not familiar with her work here's a link to one of the songs off the new album. She performed this one today which I love, called 'Cowgirl Blues', especially for my blip friend Cowgirl.

She's an Aussie girl who now lives in Nashville, but back for an Australian tour. Apparently she lived in Melbourne for 12 years and it's her favourite Aussie city.
