Killing Time

Out early to the doctors surgery to make an appointment.
I was not allowed to leave until a doctor had seen me.

Then I had to go back in the afternoon to see the nurse ... and take a seat because I had to see the doctor again.

An hour and a half later she saw me ......... sitting on the worlds most uncomfortable wooden chairs.

It is a bad state of affairs when you go to see the doctor and end up having to take painkillers because of the wait ............. and then be told "I don't know exactly what caused it - keep a diary of when it happens again - Bye"

Craft Association meeting tonight was 'interesting'
Nobody was coming forward to take up the Chair and Treasurers posts.
It actually got to the point of proposal and seconding to wind up the Association when a member asked if the vote could be postponed for half an hour to have a cup of tea and let him talk to a couple of people.

The upshot is - the proposal was withdrawn and we now have a new Chair and Treasurer for the next 2 years.

I am now sitting having a glass of wine and winding down.
